Vt Baseball Schedule 2023 – CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami head coach Gino DiMare released the 2023 Hurricanes baseball schedule Tuesday morning.
“Every season, we play one of the toughest schedules in the country and this year is no different,” DiMare said. “The ACC has the best players and programs in all of college baseball. With our annual series against Florida and other non-conference games against schools that compete in conference championships, our schedule will challenge us to be the best. Our players and staff are eager to be the best team we can be and to put ourselves in the best position to get to Omaha and win a state championship.”

The Hurricanes’ 55-game streak includes 33 home games at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field and features 24 games against eight different teams in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

Miami began its 2023 campaign with a seven-game stretch at The Light, beginning play on February 17, with three games opening against Penn State (Feb. 17-19). The Hurricanes host in-state rivals Stetson for a midweek game on February 21 and host Dartmouth (February 24-26) in Coral Gables to seal home territory.
The Canes are out for the first time on February 28, taking on FAU in Boca Raton, before heading to Gainesville to take on Florida (March 3-5).
In ACC action, Miami’s home schedule includes draws with NC State (March 10-12), ACC regular-season champions Virginia Tech (March 17-19), Florida State (March 31-April 2), Georgia Tech (April 21-23) . ) and Duke (May 18-20), among others. The Hurricanes travel to play Wake Forest (March 24-26), Virginia (April 6-8), North Carolina (April 14-16), seeking their eighth ACC Tournament title in 2022, Louisville (April 28 -30) and Pitt. (May 12-14).

Ole Miss defeated Oklahoma, 4-2, to win the 2022 Men’s College World Series. It is the Rebels’ first MCWS title in school history.
The Rebels were on a roll going into the bottom of the eighth. Down 2-1 with Oklahoma’s Cade Horton in a tie, the momentum was on Sooner’s side as Oklahoma looked to force another game.
But with TC McCants out at first after one out, Horton was awarded to Trevin Michael.

With Michael on the mound, Ole Miss’ Justin Bench led off with a single to advance McCants to third base. McCants was brought home when Jacob Gonzalez singled to plate him, tying the score at 2-2.
After that came two wild explosions. Bench scored the first goal to make it 3-2. Gonzalez scored the second goal to extend the lead to 4-2, adding some insurance.
The Rebels opened the scoring in the sixth inning when Gonzalez hit a solo shot to make it 1-0. But the Closers responded in the top of the seventh. Jackson Nicklaus doubled down left field, scoring and tying the game. Then, with the bases loaded, Kendall Pettis singled, paving the way for Wallace Clark to score and Oklahoma to take a 2-1 lead.

Thanks to their comeback, the Rebels became the first team to win the championship game after trailing in seven innings since LSU in 2000.
The Ole Miss bat was held for most of Sunday thanks to Horton’s excellent performance. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up two earned runs with four strikeouts and 13 strikeouts.
The Rebel Men’s College World Series victory was impressive both in the larger scheme of Ole Miss history and in terms of the 64th field selected to shoot at Omaha.

The 2022 Men’s College World Series began on Saturday when Ole Miss emerged, beating Oklahoma 10-3.
The Rebels broke the game open early with two runs in the first two innings. Ole Miss’ two-hit streak continued into the second inning as another run homered to push the lead to 3-0 after the top of the second inning.
In the third inning, Ole Miss’ Tim Elko scored from 352 feet to right field to push the lead to 4-0.
Baseball Releases 2023 Schedule
With the batters counting the runs, Ole Miss pitcher Jack Doughtery put on a show on the mound to open the game. Doughtery had a perfect game into the sixth inning before Oklahoma’s Jackson Nicklaus led off the inning with a single. It was the longest perfect game streak in the MCWS since the tournament’s inception in 1999.
Nicklaus hit Oklahoma first as it would be Soon’s first run to score after another unrecommended putt. An Oklahoma run with the bases loaded would cut the lead to 4-2 after six innings.
Ole Miss’ TJ McCants, Calvin Harris and Justin Bench broke open the game in the top eight, hitting back-to-back runs. It was the first time since LSU did the feat in 1998 that they hit three runs in a row.

Unc Baseball Wins Sunday At Virginia Tech To Avoid Getting Swept
Ole Miss is headed to the finals of the 2022 Men’s College World Series after eliminating Arkansas 2-0 on Thursday afternoon. It was a pitchers’ matchup between Dylan DeLucia of Ole Miss and Connor Noland of Arkansas. DeLucia pitched a shutout, striking out seven batters. In the loss, Noland struck out seven batters in eight innings. Ole Miss will face Oklahoma in the championship series beginning Saturday, June 25 at 7 p.m. ET.
Arkansas forced another game with a win against Ole Miss on Wednesday night. Hagen Smith led the Razorbacks with five innings and eight strikeouts. The two teams will now have a rematch in Thursday afternoon’s championship game.
The Oklahoma Sooners advanced to the 2022 Men’s College World Series Finals after eliminating No. 5 at Texas A&M on Wednesday afternoon. David Sandlin struck out 12 in seven innings for the Sooners. The Aggies’ lone run came on a solo home run by Dylan Rock in the sixth inning. Oklahoma now awaits the winner of Ole Miss vs. Arkansas will face the Finals.

Arkansas advanced to the semifinals after eliminating No. 14 at Auburn Tuesday night. Will McEntire pitched seven innings for the Razorbacks, striking out nine batters, while Peyton Stovall led the offense with five strikeouts. Bobby Peirce hit a solo home run in the seventh to lift the Tigers. Arkansas will face Ole Miss on Wednesday, June 22 at 7 p.m. ET.
Tuesday’s Men’s College World Series action began as Texas A&M advanced to the semifinals and eliminated Notre Dame. Brooks Coetzee III scored the only run for the Fighting Irish with a solo home run in the eighth inning. Nathan Dettmer pitched seven scoreless innings for the Aggies, striking out six batters. The Aggies will face Oklahoma on Wednesday, June 22 at 2 p.m. ET.
Ole Miss continued its perfect postseason with a 13-5 win over Arkansas in the Men’s College World Series. After Arkansas trailed 4-3 in the bottom of the second inning, Ole Miss dominated the game.
