The return of progressive jam giants Umphrey’s McGee to Las Vegas for the seventh installment of the much-hyped UMBowl production was marked by a stand-out tour with a second-evening extravaganza where all the stops were pulled out and the energy was direct. The fans were delivered, for better or worse.
On June 24, Round Records and ETO Records will release Garcia Live Volume Six: July 5, 1973 – Jerry Garcia and Merle Saunders, the latest installment of the legendary Garcia Live archive. The three-CD set was released at the 200-capacity Lions Club, formerly located in San Anselmo, CA, about 20 miles from San Francisco. Jerry Garcia is performing in this performance with friend, mentor and legendary keyboard/singer Merle Saunders. The duo was joined by drummer Bill Witt and bassist John Kahn, who soon became Garcia’s lifelong collaborators. Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Billy Strings will return to Colorado’s Red Rock Amphitheater next spring for two shows on the 11th and 12th.
Tickets will be available through FAIR AXS Registration is now open until Sunday, November 27th at 11:59pm ET / 9:59pm MT for your chance to purchase tickets. The Red Rocks date adds to Strings’ extensive 2023 headline tour, which includes stops at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville (two nights, both sold out), Atlantic City (three nights), Hard Rock Live at Ates Arena in John Paul, 15 Includes stage shows. Jones in Charlottesville. Arena (two nights), Atlanta’s State Farm Arena and Charleston’s North Charleston Coliseum (two nights), among others.
