It depends on which division you will be competing in. Most March Madness division groups allow submissions and/or division changes until just before the start of the first round of 64 game. That’s because very few group games actually consider top-four results, which is despite the fact that it’s technically part of the game.
If you want to pick the top four teams to advance to the round of 64, you can pick one of the two teams participating in the top four competitions. For example, in our February 15 replay, Mississippi State played Florida State in the top four in the Midwest; , then win the 64th round and you still get points.

As the season begins, there are about forty contenders dreaming of reaching the Final Four. However, as we all know, it really comes down to about 10 items to start seriously looking for Houston travel plans. As I looked up and down the bracket, I wasn’t sure I found those ten teams. But what impresses me is the number of new teams we’ve seen this year. Sure, we still have a lot of blue blood in the bracket, but the new team has my attention.
Let’s start with my top seed, the Houston Cougars. While Houston certainly stands out — and tough — under Kelvin Sampson, they haven’t been the No. 1 nationally for years.
Another newcomer sits next in line at Creighton. There was a lot of preseason hype despite being a lot of shortstops after the Blue Jays brought national champion Kansas to the line in last year’s NCAA tournament. Another reason Omaha is bullish is the addition of three-point shooter Baylor Sherman, a transfer from South Dakota State.

Blue blood, stupid! “Yes, the Hoosiers are technically one of the most storied programs in college basketball, but it’s also true that they haven’t been deep in a championship game in a long time.
While the Texans have joined the top teams the past four years and had some success, the most recent roster hasn’t had the preseason buzz that this team has. The lineup is strong, but the reason most people think the Longhorns have a chance to play in March is Chris Beard. Traveling from Austin to Houston in Texas in April is not a dream.
