Other uncategorized cookies are those that are being analyzed and have not yet been categorized. When Mecum Auctions heads to Kissimmee, Florida from April 4-15 January at Osceola Heritage Park, it is expected to do so with a record number of vehicles.
Adding 50 investment-grade vehicles from the main attraction, the Rick Grant III Estate Collection, brought the total closer to its final goal of 4,000. Headlining the collection are the 1959 Porsche 718 RSK Center Seat, the 1936 Bugatti Type 57 and the 1957 Shelby 289 Cobra Roadster. Also available in the collection are a selection of beautifully preserved classic sports cars from Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Austin-Healey, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, MG and others.
Mecum Auctions Joins The Motortrend Family!
Joining the Rick Grant III Estate Collection and the already announced Chuck Cocoma Judge and GTO Ram Air IV Collection, headlined by the very rare Orbit Orange 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air IV Convertible, is an ever-growing list of private collections that include a wide variety of collector cars. This includes the Gary Edwards Wing Car & Mopar Collection, featuring 12 carefully selected winged cars from Dodge and Plymouth along with four other powerful Mopars. Over two dozen cars come from the Lindley Collection, including two additional winged cars. There will be nine unreserved vehicles from the David Disiere Collection, nine from the Wendlinger Collection, several of which benefited from frameless restorations, and six featured vehicles from the Wellborn Musclecar Museum Collection.
Vice President of Shipping Frank Mecum had this to say about Kissimmee 2023: “When my father (Dana Mecum) walked off the auction floor at the end of Mecum Kissimmee in January, he said ‘4,000 next year’ and he meant it. Despite a challenging auction schedule for the remainder of this year, our agents have been working hard to achieve Dana’s goal. We have less than 60 days until Mecum Kissimmee 2023 opens.”
Last year’s Mecum Kissimmee sold a record $217 million, becoming the first live collector car auction to exceed $200 million.
Hot Collector Car Auctions January 2023
There are still shipping positions available for Mecum Kissimmee 2023. If you would like to participate, you can submit a position request form now to take advantage of pre-auction advertising and promotion.
In-person, phone and online bidder registration starts at $100. Admission is $20 in advance online and $30 at the door and online after Jan. 3, per person, per person. Children 12 and under get in for free. The house opens every day at 8 am.
Road Art goes live on Monday, January 9 at 9 a.m. and cars 4-8 will also be offered. January and 10-15 January Television coverage will take place on MotorTrendTV and MotorTrend+, but timings are to be confirmed.
