Tournament directors and broadcasters alike are eyeing the final results of Saturday night’s January event. The Farmers Final competed with NFL Championship Weekend for years, until the event was eventually eliminated from the competition last year. This means that in 2023 we have Wednesday to Saturday again in Torrey Pines.

We’ll also see Congaree hosting the event next season. A field in South Carolina hosts the 2021 Palmetto Championships following the cancellation of the RBC Canadian Open due to the pandemic. Congaree will host the 2022 CJ Cup in mid-October, just weeks away from the new season.

Top LPGA players will play for over $2 million check in this week’s CME Group Tour Championship. The 2023 global schedule will take the Tour to 11 states in the United States and 12 countries and territories. Beginning with the annual season opener at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, the tour will visit Asia before heading to Superstition Mountain Golf Club in Gold Canyon, Arizona for the fifth Drive On Championship show. Superstition Mountain, the home club of many of the Tour’s stars, hosted the Safeway International from 2004 to 2008, attended by Hall of Fame winners Annika Sorenstam (2004, 2005), Juli Inkster (2006) and Lorena Ochoa (2007, 2008).

The Carlton Woods club in The Woodlands, Texas, will debut as host to The Chevron Championship, the first women’s main event of the season, with a new purse of $5.1 million. Next week, the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro will join the Tour schedule at the Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles with a prize pool of $3 million.

New Jersey will host four events in 2023, beginning with the Cognizant Founders Cup at the Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, an annual celebration of the past, present and future of women’s soccer.
