Florida Football 2023 Schedule – The Florida A&M Rattlers have added the West Florida Argonauts to their 2023 football schedule, according to a UWF announcement.
Florida A&M will host West Florida at Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla., on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023. The game will mark the first meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.

The University of West Florida is a public university located in Pensacola, Florida, which is approximately 191 miles from Tallahassee. The Argonauts, a member of the Division II Gulf South Conference, have never faced a Division I team in the state in football.

West Florida is the second known opponent for the Florida A&M Rattlers in 2023. Florida A&M is also set to travel to face the USF Bulls in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, September 9, a week before they host West Florida in Tallahassee.
Florida A&M was previously scheduled to host the South Carolina State Bulldogs on October 7, 2023. However, South Carolina State has now scheduled a home contest on the same date against the Virginia-Lynchburg Dragons.
The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) schedule for Florida A&M has not yet been released. The Rattlers know they will host Jackson State in the Orange Blossom Classic in Miami Gardens, Florida on Sunday, September 3rd.
Sec Football Schedule: Team By Team Dates, Matchups
Based on last season’s schedule, the Rattlers will have to host Alabama State in Tallahassee and travel to play Alabama A&M and Mississippi Valley State. FAMU will also face Bethune-Cookman in the annual Florida Blue Classic in Orlando, Florida. In his third year under coach Mike Norvell, Florida State football put together its best season since 2016, finishing 11th in the nation after a 10-win season and the state title with a bowl victory over the Oklahoma Sooners which serves as the cherry on top.
That success, combined with the return of big names like quarterback Jordan Travis (already a Heisman winner for next season), Trey Benson, Jared Versh and defensive tackle Fabian Lovett, have high expectations for 2023 .

Florida, Utah Schedule Home And Home Football Series For 2022, 2023
“There is tremendous internal and external excitement for this season,” said head coach Mike Norvell. “The new ACC scheduling model and elimination of divisions creates an exciting matchup and brings new teams to our program, which is great for our student-athletes and fans to experience.”
As a reminder – the ACC did away with divisions and instead changed to a 3-5-5 format where teams would have three opponents each year and face each of the other 10 schools twice during a four-year cycle. As part of the new arrangement, Florida State will face the Clemson Tigers, Miami (FL) Hurricanes and Syracuse Orange each year.
The Seminoles will start the year against LSU again, this time in Orlando, with big home games against Virginia Tech and Miami. For the first time since 2014, FSU will play Clemson in September, while the status quo remains in the Sunshine Showdown against Florida, which will be the season opener.

Playing eight games on home soil is another great asset for our team and we look forward to getting back in front of the best fans in country as we continue our ascent to the top of college football.” Florida State opens Sept. 3 against LSU in a rematch of last year’s Labor Day Sunday game. This year, the home is Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida for Camping World Kickoff FSU defeated Tigers 24-23 in last year’s Allstate Louisiana Kickoff held at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Both teams won 10 games last season, including bowl games at Camping World Stadium. Florida State leads the all-time series with LSU 8-2. FSU is 10-0-2 all-time in Orlando, including 2-0 in the season opener. The Seminoles’ home opener is Sept. 9 against Southern Miss. Florida State leads the all-time series 14-8-1, including a 42-13 victory in the 2017 Independence Bowl in the last meeting. FSU opens ACC play with back-to-back road games, traveling to Boston College on September 16th and Clemson on September 23rd. Florida State is 15-5 all-time against Boston College and holds a 20-15 all-time advantage. against the Tigers After an open date on Sept. 30, the Seminoles have a three-game homestand through most of October, which is FSU’s longest since opening the 2012 season with four consecutive home games. Florida State hosts Virginia Tech during Family Weekend on Oct. 7, Syracuse on Oct. 14 and Duke for Homecoming on Oct. 21. The Seminoles and Hokies are meeting for the first time since 2018 and just the fifth time in the regular season since he joined Virginia Tech. ACC in 2004. Florida State beat Syracuse 38-3 on the road last year, improved to 13-2 all-time against the Orange and had a 56-35 win over Duke in Tallahassee in 2020 that pushed the Seminoles to 21-0 in streak, the most unbeaten wins in any streak by current conference opponents. Florida State travels to Wake Forest for a game on Oct. 28 and Pitt on Nov. 4 before returning home for the ACC final against rival Miami on Nov. 11. Florida State plays Pitt for the first time since the 2013 national championship team opened its season with a 41-13 victory on Labor Day night. The Seminoles wrap up the home stretch of the schedule against North Alabama on Nov. 18 in the opener between these two programs before heading to Gainesville for the regular season finale. Florida State defeated Florida 45-38 in Tallahassee last season, marking the first time FSU scored at least 45 points against Miami and Florida in the same season and winning Florida State’s 15th national championship.
