Bethune Cookman Football Schedule 2023 – The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats have added the Savannah State Tigers to their 2023 football schedule, according to an SSU release.
Bethune-Cookman will host Savannah State at Daytona Stadium in Daytona Beach, Florida on Saturday, September 9. 2023. This game will mark the 51st overall meeting between the two schools on the field.

Bethune-Cookman and Savannah State first met on the green in 1925. Both schools were members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) from 2010-2019.
Grambling State Announces 2023 Football Schedule
Savannah State University is a historically black public university located in Savannah, Ga. The Tigers are members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) in Division II.
Savannah State is the third non-conference opponent for the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in 2023. Bethune-Cookman is scheduled to open the season on the road against the Memphis Tigers on Saturday, September 2nd and will also visit the Miami Hurricanes on Thursday, September 14th.
The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) schedule for Bethune-Cookman has not yet been released. Based on last season’s schedule, the Wildcats are scheduled to host Alabama A&M and Mississippi Valley State and travel to meet Alabama State and Jackson State. B-C will also face Florida A&M in the annual Florida Blue Florida Classic in Orlando, Florida. In July, it was announced that Bethune-Cookman’s fall football season would be moved to the spring due to COVID-19.
Miami Football Adds Bethune Cookman And Ed Reed To 2023 Schedule
The Middle Eastern Athletic Conference released the full spring schedule for all nine teams on Thursday, announcing that the shortened 6-game season will begin on February 20th and run through April 17th.
Bethune-Cookman will begin the year with one of two scheduled weeks off, then open the season Feb. 27 at North Carolina A&T.
“The mental and physical health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans must be at the forefront,” said MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. “Therefore, achieving our goals requires creative and innovative planning. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to limit travel to regional competitions. We hope that type of schedule will only be for Spring 2021.”

The North Division will consist of Delaware State, Howard State, Morgan State and Norfolk State. Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, North Carolina A&T State, North Carolina Central and South Carolina State will make up the South Division.
North Division teams will face off twice, while South Division teams will have two teams play twice and two teams play once. Each team will have two weeks of rest.
The Wildcats will host rival Florida A&M on March 6 for the first time since 1974 (the game is traditionally played in Orlando) before traveling to North Carolina Central on March 13.
George Releases 2022 Football Schedule
B-CU will play back-to-back home games against NC A&T and South Carolina State (March 20 and 27) before beginning the season finale on April 10 at FAMU.
A sectional format will also be adopted for men’s and women’s basketball, the conference added, with each school playing 16 games over a nine-week period starting Jan. 2.
Coppin State, Delaware State, Howard, Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State and Norfolk State will make up the North Division, with B-CUn, Florida A&M, North Carolina A&T State, North Carolina Central and South Carolina State in the South Division.

The addition of Bethune-Cookman completes Miami’s non-conference schedule for 2023. The Hurricanes are scheduled to open the season at home on Saturday, September 2 against the Miami RedHawks. Miami will also host the Texas A&M Aggies on September 9th and travel to face the Temple Owls on September 23rd.

In ACC action next fall, Miami will host Georgia Tech, Virginia, Clemson and Louisville and will travel to Florida, North Carolina, Boston College and NC State. The complete 2023 ACC football schedule will be released on Monday, January 30 at 7:00 PM ET on the ACC Network.
The 2023 season will be the second season for the Hurricanes under head coach Mario Cristobal, who went 5-7 (3-5 ACC) in his first season. Cristobal played for Miami from 1989 to 1992 and also coached there from 1998 to 2000 as a graduate assistant. He then returned to Miami in 2004 as the tight ends coach before overseeing the offensive line in 2006.
Bethune-Cookman is a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Florida A&m Unveils 2023 Football Schedule
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats’ second season as a member of the Southwest Athletic Conference [SWAC] will feature a challenging 2022 schedule that includes ACC vs. Miami and participants from the 2021 Celebration Bowl and 2021 SWAC Champions.
The Wildcats open the season in Miami, with new coach Mario Cristobal, on September 3. B-CU faces the Hurricanes for the sixth time in program history and the first time since 2019.

B-CU then begins four road games in five weeks. First, the Wildcats begin their road trip in Huntsville, Alabama to face the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M on October 1st. Next, Bethune-Cookman wraps up non-conference play against Eddie George and Tennessee State in Nashville on Oct. 8.
On October 15, Deion Sanders and last season’s SWAC champion Jackson State visited Daytona Beach for the first time since 1974; then the Wildcats will travel to Mississippi Valley State and Prairie View A&M on Oct. 22 and 29, respectively.
The Wildcats will conclude their road portion of the schedule on Nov. 12 in Lorman, Miss. against Alcorn State.
Florida A&m 2023 Football Schedule
The regular season ends in Orlando at the annual Florida Blue Florida Classic against arch-rival Florida A&M at Camping World Stadium on Nov. 19.
