Because cruise lines use transatlantic cruises to reposition their ships, you can score incredible deals on the number of days on board. Why are transatlantic cruises so cheap? Quite a few reasons. Cruise lines have to move these ships to new locations depending on the season. You help them pay for his needs. Also, fewer ports of call mean more days at sea, saving on port fees.
Another plus? These vessels are usually not filled to capacity, which is the main reason for such a low cost per day. So you get more space in a less crowded environment.

Also, on most transatlantic cruises you will have fewer children on board. Since most of these cruises are long (usually 12-15 days), it is difficult for parents to take children along, and many retired cruisers go on these cruises. This allows for less crowded pools and an overall calmer atmosphere.
For the price of some of these cruises, this is a great alternative to flying when traveling in Europe. You should have some extra time on your hands. A big positive is that you won’t experience jet lag after you arrive at your destination because the time changes happen much more slowly than flying.
Since you are sailing across a large ocean, you should be prepared to navigate rough waters at times, so be prepared with some motion sickness medication.

If the rocking motion makes it difficult to sleep, you can try sleeping perpendicular to the bowl with the sofa. This will eliminate the lateral movement that wakes some people up at night. Not ideal, I know, but it will help in a pinch.

Two brothers started Cruise Fever in 2011 when they decided they couldn’t stop sailing, so they might as well write about it. Do you have cruise fever too? Follow this incredible journey! Yesterday we found out that [Disney_Magic] is likely to go to Europe in 2014. While trying to figure out more pieces of this puzzle, I noticed some interesting things about the St Maarten port schedule.
Costa Firenze Arrives At Barcelona’s Helix Cruise Terminal
Magic appears on the St. Maarten schedule on October 22, 2013. Currently, the Magic is scheduled for a 5-night Bahamas cruise on Itinerary A on the Disney Magic from Miami, Florida. In fact, October 22nd is expected to be at sea between Castaway Cay and Nassau, her first stop. Is this a glitch in the schedule, or a sign that the dry dock will be a little longer than expected, or will there be a western Atlantic voyage with the passengers until they arrive in Miami later?
Moving into 2014, Magic is making another appearance, this time on September 18, 2014. Based on what we found yesterday, we can assume that Magic will be in Europe from late May 2014 to early September 2014. Will the Enchantress return to take over Wonder’s ships as she heads into dry dock?
Finally, looking at the December 2014 Port of St. Maarten schedule [Disney_Fantasy] calls into question the alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. On the surface it seems normal, but there are 5 Tuesdays in the month and fantasy. It is programmed for each.
Regent Announces 2023 24 Schedule, Including 15 New Ports Of Call
Indeed, since November 25, 2012, Fantasy has been seen weekly in St. Maarten. If you remember back in early November, the Disney Cruise Line website briefly showed off a few new Caribbean ports in their presentations. While magic or wonder travels in the West, does fantasy create the Orient? This refers to special vacation cruises on the Fantasy, or the Fantasy is a placeholder for another ship on Jamaica’s schedule. However, this could also be a glitch in the program.
Please note that this is all speculation as it is based on third party information and some assumptions.
