2023 Oregon Ducks Football Schedule – The Pac-12 released its combined schedule for the 2021 season on Tuesday, with the two-time defending champion Ducks opening the conference on Sept. 25 against Arizona at Autzen Stadium.
“I’m thrilled. I was excited to see him,” Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said during the schedule reveal show on Pac-12 Networks. “It’s always what it is – a very competitive schedule. We play nine conference games and I think a lot of people have seen how challenging and great it can be. So we enjoy the aspect that of him.”

The Ducks’ slate includes games against Washington (Nov. 6 at Husky Stadium) and Oregon State (Nov. 27 at Austin).

The Huskies had to cancel their 2020 trip to Eugene due to COVID-19 issues and were unavailable for the Pac-12 Championship Game, resulting in Oregon representing the North Division. The Beavers defeated the Ducks 41-38 in the shortened season at Ressor Stadium.
Oregon will play at UCLA on October 23, marking the first time Chip Kelly will host his former team in the Rose Bowl since losing meetings against the Ducks in 2018 and 2020 at Otson.
A week later, Oregon hosts California on Friday, October 15. Last season, the Bears defeated the Ducks 21-17 in Berkeley, California.

The Ducks’ other Pac-12 home game is Nov. 13 against Washington State. Oregon won last year’s meeting in Pullman, Washington, 43-29.
“He has a lot of balance, a lot of big games, home and away,” Cristobal said. “Our people, they’re itching for this day. They’re finally seeing it, they’re putting it on their lockers and mirrors, they’re putting it on their phones, it’s families making their plans. It’s a big day.”

Oregon’s previously announced non-conference schedule begins with a Sept. 4 opener against Fresno State. Dee Ruiter was the head coach of the Bulldogs from 2012-16.
The Ducks will play Big Ten champion and national runner-up Ohio State on September 11 in Columbus, Ohio. The Buckeyes were scheduled to play last season, but the marquee non-conference game was canceled due to the pandemic.
“When you’re a ballplayer, when you see something like that on your schedule, your eyes wander a little bit,” Cristobal said when asked about the game against Ohio State. “But it didn’t take long to realize that we were going to be playing a great Fresno State team soon. Our guys know a lot of the players on that football team, the proud history and the accolades it has.” the program has won over the years.

USC and Arizona State are two teams in the South Division that the Ducks did not play during the regular season on an unbalanced schedule.
The 2021 Pac-12 Championship Game will be played on Friday, December 3 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Ducks defeated Utah in the 2019 title game in Santa Clara, California and USC in the 2020 title game in Los Angeles.

Oregon, which finished the 2020 season 4-3 with a loss to Iowa State in the Fiesta Bowl, will get a new quarterback with Tyler Shaw transferring to Texas Tech. Senior Anthony Brown will compete with freshmen Ty Thompson, Jay Butterfield and Robbie Ashford this spring.

The 2022 football season is behind the Oregon Ducks. While there is a long season between fans and more football at Autzen Stadium, that doesn’t mean we can’t look forward.
For starters, we want to take an early look at the Ducks’ 2023 schedule and highlight the biggest games and the most important places for Oregon to start their focus. Of course, the final Pac-12 schedule and game dates have not been released, so outside of the non-conference schedule, we only have the opponents the Ducks face next season.

It’s still good enough to get us going, allowing us to predict who Oregon will face in 2023, providing a narrative and setting the stage for upcoming games as we begin the slow build to the season next.

The prospect of starting your season with a game against Portland State is certainly nicer than the likes of Georgia, with all due respect to the Vikings. After losing the season opener, 49-3, a year ago, Oregon fans will be happy to relax into the 2023 season with a home game where they enter as 25-30 point favorites.
This is the marquee non-conference game on the schedule for the Ducks, which includes a game against former Oregon QB Tyler Shaw, who has announced he will return for the 2023 season. The Ducks should be favored, but it’ sure to be an electric atmosphere in Lubbock.
This will be an interesting non-conference game for the Ducks, but I don’t think it will be one that fans should spend their time stressing about. Hawaii went 3-10 in 2022 and did not see a major overhaul this season.
Oregon Ducks Football Schedule Released
We don’t know yet when this game will land on the seasonal schedule for Oregon. It is sure to be one of the most anticipated games of the year, but it will not be the most competitive on the field. With Kenny Dillingham now the head coach at Arizona State, the Ducks will be an interesting game to watch when they travel to Tempe.
In the landscape of the Pac-12, there aren’t many games on the schedule that look like cupcakes or easy wins. However, the Golden Bears don’t look to be a big threat in 2023. They struggled last year and lost their quarterback to transfer. We’ll see how Justin Wilcox does over the rest of the offseason, but Cal could take Colorado as the bottom team in the conference next season.
Talk about the most interesting games on the schedule, and all eyes will be on Eugene as Coach Prime and Buff head north. With Colorado adding all the transfer portal players and recruits, the Buffs could see a meteoric rise this season. Whatever happens in the end is sure to be interesting. This could be a good game.
Dark Horse Contenders To Crash The College Football Playoff
When the full schedule with dates finally comes out, four or five games will be circled at once. This may be the most permanent ink ever circulated. After Oregon’s loss to the Beavers in 2022 and OSU adding DJ Uiagalelei via the transfer portal, this is shaping up to be the game of the year for the Ducks.
After not playing a back-to-back in 2022, it is considered one of the marquee games of the season – in all of college football. It could even be a Pac-12 Championship preview. Bo Nix vs. Caleb Williams, Dan Lanning vs. Lincoln Riley. This is going to be amazing.
The Cougars are going to be a sneaky team in the Pac-12 again, able to knock off many of the top dogs with a strong defense and a great offense under Cameron Ward in year two. This was not a game Oregon could look past.
Pac 12 Announces 2023 League Football Schedules
Stanford is going to battle California for the title of worst team in the Pac-12. The Cardinals had a bad year last year, and then head coach David Shaw left the program. It’s unclear how quickly they can turn things around, but I don’t have high hopes.
Whether or not QB Cam Rising returns for the 2023 season has a huge impact on how interesting this game is. If Rising returns, the Utes will be poised to be one of the top teams in the Pac-12. If Rising leaves, it’s unclear how quickly they can return to the conference’s top tier and compete for a Pac-12 championship.
Along with Oregon State and USC, this is one of the more interesting games on the schedule. Depending on when it happens in the season, both schools could be ranked in the top 10 in the country, and that could determine who makes it to the Pac-12 Championship. This matchup between Oregon and Washington looks great
